MY TV SWITCHES IT SELF OFF & DOES NOT WANT TO SWITCH IT SELF ON WITH A REMOTE

You have to replace all the micro-switches at its front panel switch board PWB.

This model no. has a built-in "self diagnostic software" that can be access to narrow down where the fault came from.
How to enter to self diagnostic screen display.
1. Turn on the main power switch of the TV and enter into standby mode.
2. Press the following sequence of buttons on the remote control.


Self diagnostic error menu will be display. It has an error code no. with the corresponding numerical digit "0" means no fault detected or "1" fault has been detected. See sample picture below.

Switch the TV on.
Press the Set and TV buttons together and the red LED should light continuously. Then press the power button and then press it every time the LED flashes (about once a second).
When the TV switches off, press the TV button on the remote. Switch the TV on with the remote and check that the other buttons work as expected. If not, repeat the process...
I had the same problem: worked it out by trial and error ;-) Hope it helps...

Good day sir/maam, the swiching off thing can be caused by the setup of the sleep mode. check your remote and set the sleep mode to off.
It could also be a failure of the switching power supply board. This symptom needs to be checked by an authorized service service center, better call or visit your local dealer, for proper advice on your TV. Hope this helps.

The front panel Tactile Switches probably need to be replaced. The part # of the switches is 23344507. You can order them through Encompass Elect. 800-638-3328.

could be the remote sencer that is in the tv or bad swithes that are leaking. I have seen this happen before the sencer is a small electronic eye that picks up the signal from your remote when you push the buttons on it. The switches im talking about are small button switches that are soldered to a board right behind where you would push the power button and chanel buttons on the set itself. I would start with the switches frist if it was me. Some times you can trace the wires on the front where the switches are and unplug that set of wires and stil use the remote to turn on the set to see if it still does the same thing. The remote sencer on some models are pluged in seperate if so then this should help you to trouable shoot this problem.

Problem solved. inside this computer there are a set of dip switches a block of 4 top middle of circuit board, 1 up 3down, what i did was to switch all switches to the the up posistion, and not having a clue what would happen.

Ureka the computer came on, if you switch of and switch on again comp becomes operative at once, depending how long you leave it off the longer it takes to come on.

Example if it is switched off say overnight it will take about 2.5 mins to come on, it seem that the comp is doing some sought of self checking. I could play around with those dip switches but as it is now working and i understand what is happening (I think) i will leave well alone.

First try to take out the batteries out of the remote and see if its activatibng the TV set. if its not then there are probably bad micro switches in the front of the set, or the microprocessor could be going bad, or the remote sensor is acting up

This could be a remote problem, try it while the remote it out of range/no batts if so just replace the remote. Pull the batteries out of the remote - fixed? Then: Check the switches, sometimes people clean the set and fluid drips down corrodes the hidden switches and some components near them. If not that check continuity of the switches Another thought, is if you have compact floresent lamps in the room, these can cause some IR interference that can trigger events on your remote control input. last, does anyone near you has the RCA TV? mybe other remote is effecting your TV...
