Question about Dryers
I have a Kenmore Heavy Duty 70 Series Soft Heat Extra Capacity Dryer, Model 96575100. It shuts off after five minutes and smells like it is overheating. It will run just fine on the air dry cycle. I cleared the vent, replaced the rear seal on the drum, and replaced the thermal cutoffs on the heating element. It still shuts off after five minutes and smells hot. What am I missing? Is there another thermal switch elsewhere?
The vent box inside the dryer still has lint in it. You need to reach way inside to get at it. Turn power off.
