Question about HP PSC 1510 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Thanks, Komguy. I cleaned the lenses and it still didn't help. If you have any other suggestions, I'd love to hear them. I'm feeling like this printer is a goner. Otherwise, thanks for the help!

I would also clean the encoder strip, the clear strip with black lines that runs across behind the carriage. Ink gets on there as well and you can clean it off carefully with a damp Q-tip as well.

It seems like it's a software issue not the hardware issue. If it was a hardware issue (fan is not working/overheating...) it will not even work in Safe mode. I would suggest take back up of your files and re-install windows.

You can also, feel the air from vent/hear the fan to check if it is running. Most likely, reinstalling windows will help.

I have a 1998 cavalier. My back wheel on drivers side was locking up so had a wheel cylinder replace and a brake line by just someone, then that didn''t help so I took it to all stars and they did...

its possible that the seals in the wheel cylinder were damaged from the previous problem when it didn`t fix the problem.was the replaced seal a new one or a used one that the someone installed or the seals were defective from the manufacture.also were the brakes shoes cleaned of the brake fluid that was on them from the original cylinder leaking on them as this can cause the brakes to lock up,as well as if the brakes are not adjusted properly can cause this as they will catch and turn with the drum until it can`t rotate any more causing the brakes to lock far as the hardware missing then the person that replaced the wheel cylinder didn`t replace everything that they took off or didn`t know what was suppose to be there as far as parts.

This lens is probably ruined anyway, before you began your DIY attempts. Take it to a repair facility, but be prepared for a hefty bill, even if they will countenance attempting to repair it.

I have had a Kenmore Outdoor Gas Smoker for several years and it's worked fine, but this year started leaving a coating of soot on the food, and the flame is mostly yellow. The User Guide suggested...

Ben, the burner holes were a good start. If you removed the burners to clean them. If not, it left a lot of debris inside the burners. Also, the Venturi valves may be clogged (Spiders love them) which would affect the air to gas ratio, Which would mean the burners weren't/aren't burning cleanly. If you didn't remove the burners, that's what you need to do, before anything else.

Hope this helps you to further troubleshoot and solve the problem. Happy Grilling.

Service Error 6A80

That error says there is something jammed in either the purge assembly or the sheet feeder on the back not able to turn. The purge assembly is on the right where the printhead parks for cleaning.

Nikon 18-55mm AF-S/ VR lense shudder?

I believe you're hearing the VR in the lens adjusting. Try turning the VR off and see if you hear the sound. If not, then you have a normal operating lens.

To Komguy!

On the right side of the carriage at the bottom there's a black one inch square with clear lenses pointing down where the paper passes thru. You can't see it but you put the Q-tip underneath and wipe all of the underside. With a small mirror you can see the lenses.

My Canon is displaying - Err 99 what should I do?

This can mean a host of different problems but try these things to fix it:
  1. clean the lense contacts as poor conection between the camera and the lenses can cause this. Also clean the contacts on the body of the camera.  The contacts should be cleaned with a plastic eraser, but make sure it is clean before using it.
  2. Clean the battery contacts (on the battery)
  3. Change lenses and see if you have the same problem (does it only have this problem on one lense?)
  4. Make sure you have the lates firmware installed.
Don't swap lenses while the camera is writing to the memory card, lots of things like this can cause this error message. Also the flash can cause it.
Usually the lense is the culprit so make sure it is fully cleaned.

DVP-NS50P will not load DVD

the lense could be only dirty, try cleaning it first. i suggest do a manual cleaning if you can. open the top cover of the unit, remove the disk retainer and you will find the lense somewhere in the middle. use a cotton bud, use a little of alcohol, dampen a little only and wipe the lense in circular motion. then use new dry bud to dry it.
