Question about Hitachi Travelstar 80 GB Hard Drive
Hi tried loading Itunes folder on to my 80GB external hardrive it did some but the would not do some albums my son said its because they are download (don't know) so tried to delete every thing and it would not delete some say incorrect path etc tried all sorts so eventually tried formating it.
Now its says there is nothing on it but when you go on properties it say all space is used
When you move files that Itunes is using you need to take them off your playlist and re add them. Some of the files you son may have downloaded and they should still transfer to that location you will just need to re-import them after you move them to that new hard drive. You may have to recreate your playlist but all your files should transfer to that drive. I would recommend you using NTFS for the file format. You also have to remember that the transferring of those files to the Ipod will be slower then when it was on the internal drive. It has to go through the USB connections twice.
