Question about Panasonic Televison & Video

Panasonic NV L28 does not power on.

My 'old i know' panasonic NVL28 VHS recorder does not power up. This happened after the power to my house tripped. Power cable to VHS is ok and the two internal glass fuses in the power unit are also ok..?
Any idea what the problem may be and also i live in Braintree, Essex, is there a local reputable panasonic repairs expert nearby..?

Thanks

danny

Hello daniel_white...did you solve the problem with replacement of the electrolitic capacitor ? My NV L28 also doesn"t show any signs of life so I am wondering could this be the solution to my problem ? You can email me at matija.zabic@gmail.com Thanks.

The most probable cause of malfunction in your equipmenty is a a electrolitic capacitor in the power source. The capacitor is marked with a value of 1uF 400V in the primary side of the PSU. Replace them and the unit is alive for 20 years more!!!
Greats and good luck!!

I have a VCR Panasonic NV - FJ623 and when I insert a video cassette into it for playback or recording purposes,it always ejects the video cassette. Can you help, please?

I'ts likely that the record sensor that pushes on the tab on the tape is bent or broken. Making the VCR think you are trying to record on to a protected tape.

MY PANASONIC CAM RECORDER STOPPED WORKING BECAUSE

The tape will be badly damaged if trapped in camera, this always happens when the camera has got dirty heads and capstan rollers, some times the door wont open if this happens, but if it does open your local camera shop may get the film out.

I know of four places that deal in Panasonic parts and they are all on-line!
Number one is Grandata, 2 is Willow Vale, 3 is CPC.
The fourth one I have just checked on and they have the upper cylinder unit in stock at £47.99 plus P&P!
And they are Curry's Partmaster.
You might want to try the others just in case they do it cheaper, but I find that Panasonic heads tend to be all around that sort of price.

OK connect the AV Out Yellow, Red, White, OR SVHS, OR SCART, from the VCR, connect these leads color to color to the DVD's AV whatever, IN.. Press Play on VCR, and "Record" on CVD that should do it.

Nv fj630 can't power up

Had the same problem with my one. After a lot of time spent testing etc and finding no low volts of any value present and looking on the web, I found that Panasonic tend to use a similar design of power supply for a lot of models and there appears to be, after a number of years in use, a weak link in the design/use with the voltage regulator. For this model, the regulator generic part number is STRG 6352 and the Panasonic part no is C5HACZZ00002. In the UK it is available from:-
http:/www.chsinteractive.co.uk/electrical-components/misc/nvfj620b-c5haczz00002-ic-pana.htm
If you need a service manual for this model, which is helpful for checking things/disasembly/assembly, you can obtain a free one from:-
http://www.reptips.dk/Reptips/NV-FJ620.pdf
As a note the panasonic replacement from chs came with the pins bent correctly, so it fitted directly after I had cut the old one out.

Best of luck!
