I have a ice-o-matic 400ha2 ice machine that is not making much ice and is to thick. the timer has been replaced, but no change

reduce the thickness thermostat that initiates the timer to minimum, then increase until good ice made.

My brema ice machine dsnt wanna work, it just stopped. do they have reset buttons

Not really.
Check water supply and filter first. Then check to make sur the fill valve in the cube tray has not frozen shut.

It might only need to be defrosted and refrigeration coils cleaned of dust and debris..

Not cold and ice on back of freezer

if the inside back wall of the freezer has frost or like snow on it you have a defrost problem, bad defrost thermostat, defrost heater or timer, open the fridge door and up where the lite is you'll see a hole, with a strait blade screw driver turn the timer slowly until it clicks and then open the freezer door,if the fan isn't blowing then you have it in defrost, remove all the food, shelves and back wall and ice maker and with a hair dryer melt out all the ice,on the top of the evap coil you'll see a thermostat with two wires going to it,most likely this is your problem because you have a calrod heater in this machine and they hardly go bad, shut down the machine or unplug it,cut the two wires close to the body of the thermostat, strip the ends of the two wires and tape them or wire nut them together bypassing the thermostat, turn the machine back on or plug it back in and with the timer in defrost you should hear a crackling sound, that's the heater getting hot and melting the ice, leave it on so the heater helps you melt out all the ice.also if you look at the top of the thermostat and if the top is popping up you can visually see that the t-stat is bad, water gets in it and freezes and buldges the top off, after you melt out all the ice, shut down the machine again or unplug it so you don't get a shock and install the new thermostat part number 12001937 and it's around 15 dollars, remove the old thermostat and put the new t-stat in the same spot the old one was in,put it back togehter, turn the timer until it clicks and it's out of defrost and you're all set.if it takes you a little longer to do this and it comes out of defrost while working on it reset it back into defrost until the job is down and then take it out of defrost when down.hope this helps and you'll save around 185 dollars by doing this your self.hope this helps and if you need any other help let me know, glad i could help salde.

Freezer section is icing up. I do not j=know how to get to the timer and thermostat. Can you help me. Guru

First look in the inside wall of the appliance and get the model number. Then go to the Whirlpool website and enter that number in the box on the page (under the words "model number"). This should take you to the manual for your make and model. The manual should have all the relevant diagrams and information on how to find and adjust your timer and thermostat.

I have a Amana refrigerator model SXD22S2W and no cold I change the defrost thermostat and steel no work only make ice around the thermostat and under the little fan next to the thermostat what i have to...

remove the bottom kick plate and see if you have a timer or a computer board called an adaptive defrost board,if there's a timer turn the knob on it and see if the heater comes on,if it does then you have a bad timer,if it has the adaptive defrost there should be a tech sheet in the kick plate, look at it and it will tell you how to put your machine into defrost, also you changed out the thermostat already, shut down the machine, remove the freezer wall, unplug the heater and with a meter read out the heater,if it's good change out the timer or adaptive defrost board and you should be all set, also with that machine i need the p number,it's where the model number is,i looked up your model number but alot of machines popped up,it looks like you have a calrod heater and they hardly ever go bad so check for a timer or adaptive defrost board,if it's a timer turn the knob on it slowly till it clicks,it will be in defrost, remove the freezer wall and see if the heater is on or you can look to see if it's glowing or look for melting ice and you'll know the heater is on,if it has the board, look at the tech sheet,it will tell you how to put it into defrost,do what it says, when you open the freezer door if the fan is still blowing then the board is bad because the fan won't blow if it's in defrost on the older machines, let me know what you find

Ice maker not completing cycle

You need to check the thermostat setting. If its set too cold it will never dump ice. Warmer the setting the more ice it will make. Also check the temp. If it should be 10-15 degrees. If its 5 degrees then turn thermostat to warmer setting.
