Based on your information posted...control locked light is lit on the control panel. Tried holding the start/cancel button. It is still locked even after unplugging for 30 min (that usually works)

...this is actually a fairly common problem with these washers (including Whirlpool, Kitchen Aid, Maytag, Amana, (some)Kenmore to name a few built by Whirlpool) I hear about both on-line and doing on-site service.

The solution, however is usually pretty simple. As long as your washer is indeed the Whirlpool as listed above, give this a try and let me know how it goes.

I don't know what led to you pushing the "start/cancel" you've already tried, but this is the correct method and at the risk of being redundant...Press and hold the "END OF CYCLE /CYCLE SIGNAL" button as you count to 15...this will reset the control if there is no underlying issue.

According to http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/closing-your-store.html you'd have to wait 30 days for the store to be completely canceled to create a new store with the same name. If you do that before the 30 days it will only count as a reopen and won't be eligible for the 50 free auctions. The feedbacks will always be associated with your ebay account so that is not a need of concern. When you do cancel a store after the 30 days the name is up for grabs from anyone so you will have to keep track of the days after you close so you can open the new store with the same name.
