It depends on how you wish to cook it and the type of sauerkraut being used. Types with sugars shouldn't be cooked. It is best used as a marinate instead of direct cooking as the wilted cabbage will smoke/burn faster than the pork will cook. If its to be stuffed into the chops, that is possible but it depends on the thickness of the chops and any exposed sauerkraut.

How long do pork chops last in freezer


They can last as long as a year. Depending on how well they are covered or wrapped. Freezer burn will only affect the taste. Best way to find out if any meat spoiled is to defrost it in your refrigerator and cook it. If the meat is bad, it will start to smell bad once you start cooking it.

What tempt should pork chops be cooked at


You should cook them on at least 350 degrees in the oven for at least 30 minutes, depending on the size. Just keep checking them. Frying them is another option if you are more comfortable doing so. That's how I like to cook them.

The bottom heating element in an electric oven exploded as I was cooking pork chops. White stuff got all over the oven. Is it safe to eat the pork?


i would not trust it there is chemicals inside the heating element along with metal particals that you can get in your food... sorry ,but better eat out tonight.... good luck to you...

I have a beef eater signature series 3 burner please advise instuctions for roasting pork


Depends on what your cooking.A roast of pork,I would brine for 3-6 hrs before hand,then use 2 burners for indirect.To get a better idea try one of these sites.Your making me hungry thinking of this :}

Can you cook hamburgers and pork chops on the griddle hot plate?..if so, should there be a drip pan beneath the holes in the griddle to catch the grease?


There should be a drip pan already but remove the griddle and line it with aluminum foil that way you can just roll up the foil and throw away and you don't have to clean the drip pan. If you cook pork you need to cover with a lid and you want to make sure you get the meat hot enough to be safe, get a thermometer from Wal Mart and it will have a probe and the temp the meat has to be in order to be safe. Chicken is 160 beef is 140 and I don't eat pork and don’t know the exact temp for it but the problem will have it on it. If this helped please rate me.
