Question about NetGear RangeMax WPN824 Wireless Router (WPN824NAR)
My mom and dad have changed the admin password for the router so nobody can just get on and change stuff. well now that i need to get on in to make it go from secure nat to open NAT so i can play games on my xbox. i cant do that because they have forgotten the password. how do i fix that? i have a netgear router.
You can reset the password to default values.
Check your router;s manual for instructions.

3. From the center screen, select your encryption type from under the Security Options heading.
Unfortunately, there is no way to recover a lost or forgotten password from a router or access point; you will need to reset the device to factory defaults. However, once the device is reset to factory defaults, you can use the default username ("admin") and password (either "password" or "1234" depending on your router) to reconfigure your router settings.
NOTE: Restoring factory defaults on a device will erase any customizations you have made. You will lose any configurations saved to the device!
