Won't start, gas out of exhaust

Sounds like its flooded : excess fuel / wet spark plug.
Empty tank / Clean and dry spark plug. test plug for spark before refitting. If strong spark refit plug / and see if fires when turn engine over.
If it does then refill tank with new clean fuel and attempt to start without choke to avoid flooding.

Gas coming out exhaust

The machine is completley flooded, remove the spark plug, switch the ignition off, crank the engine until no more fuel is expelled from the plug hole, allow the machine to sit for an hour, replace the plug and try to start using full throttle and no choke.

Is it the carbeurator if the chainsaw is flooding?

`It could well be the carb flooding, however if you have been cranking the engine for a time without it starting it will keep drawing fuel into the cylinder, you need to remove the spark plug, switch the on/off switch to off, make sure the choke is off, crank the engine until no more fuel comes from the open plug hole, now leave with the plug out to allow it to dry out, refit the plug and try to start with no choke and wide open throttle.

Outboard engine hard to start.

Press the key inwards to activate the Choke. Also, you only pump the bulb when the tank runs dry. Pumping after a successful run, shutdown, pump and restart can flood the engine.

If that doesn't work, claim under the warranty.

Started PB620-ST yesterday with some difficulty. However, ran until fuel empty. Refueled today, but will not start. Spark at plug ok. Fuel flowing, but seems to overflow into air filter compartment. ...

Sounds like your flooding the engine; I did the same thing. Wait a while to let the gas drain back to the tank. Use your primer bulb once and your choke for only ONE pull; then shut off the choke. Pull start without the choke 2-3 times and it should start.

Saw floods out at initail start. Saw turns off after releasing ths gas trigger.

Are you following the correct start procedure? make sure the air filter is clean, switch the ignition on, pull out the choke fully, if fitted, engage the half throttle lock, crank engine un til it fires once, push the choke fully in, do not continue to crank the engine with the choke out after the first fire, crank the engine again until it fires up and runs, if you are following this procedure and still have problems, then the rubber tipped needle in the carb is leaking, if you have a bulb pressure tester connect it to the fuel inlet on the carb, pressure up to 2 psi, the needle should be steady and no leak, if you do not have a tester, you will have to remove the carb and replace the needle as a matter of course, let us know if you need help with this.
