Jvc rx-805v repair (response)

I have the same unit, bought in the early 90's and most parts are no longer available on this unit. My amp went out on my center speaker and the front left is showing the same issue. I replaced it with a new Yamaha, best way to go, sorry for the bad news. Jay

Depending upon what parts are required, parts are still available for this unit. There are either direct replacements or substitutes available from generic suppliers. JVC may no longer supply the parts, but most electronics components are available.

How much is a 1991JVC RX-805V worth now in 2010

hello. Sadly, 20 year old electronics have little or no value. There is no warranty and often no repair parts available. If you are looking to sell this item, offer it for $10.00 or best offer. J.

I have several ionic Breeze air purifiers that have problems

Unfortunately, there are no repair depots that are available for use since Sharp Image has claimed bankruptcy. these product are very unique in design and, the actual repair parts are no longer in stock. the suppliers went under when Sharp filed for bankruptcy.

You may be able to repair the wiring by ordering the identical gauge from you local electrician but, that's about it. most of the hardware is no longer available.

Yamaha RX-V1 Power

Got the same problem and did some searching.
Strange thing is that next day the amp works fine.
This is what I found on http://www.forums.hcsd.com.au/Blah.pl?m-1210733289/s-8/

SYMPTOM: The power cannot be turned on, or the protection circuit is activated to turn off the power.
CAUSE: Fluid leakage occurs from the backup capacitor C633 0.047F 5.5V (C662 in the case of RX-V3000/DSP-AX2) on the Function PCB and causes a short with the adjacent components and between patterns, resulting in operation of the protection circuit. Fluid leakage tends to occur with this capacitor particularly with high internal cabinet temperatures, with or without the power on. Often, the leakage is only visible with very careful inspection.

SOLUTION: Two types of backup capacitors are now available with a longer expected service life. When servicing, thoroughly clean the leaked fluid from the PCB and from under any nearby components before replacing the capacitor. There are models other than those mentioned above that use the subject backup capacitor. Check them for fluid leakage and replace the capacitor as needed.

Jvc rx 318 receiver

The problem you describe is common to JVC amps. This control has a motor mounted on the back of the circuit card that drives the volume control up or down using the remote control for this system. The looseness of the volume control cannot be repaired. The shaft has separated from the potentiometer. I don't know if JVC has this part any longer but it has to be replaced as a unit (volume control card).

Jvc rx-805v repair

repairing amplifier is not easy as you think, one mistake could lead to more damage, simply replacing output transistor may not solved it, and may damage the new parts, very risky. If you are not knowledgeable on this task, don't do it. Amplifiers are the most risky gadget to repair especially the high-powered amps.
