Question about IBM ThinkPad T20 2647 Notebook
I have an IBM T21 that has exactly the same symptoms as described. I have tried all the same things except replace the motherboard and have also checked the voltage on the CMOS battery. If it is allowed to sit for 24 -48 hrs with the charger disconnected it will start up normally every time. It will shut down by itself occasionally when operating but it works normally otherwise. Frustrating problem. It's operating environment is 70 F and 50% RH. Any help would be appreciated. John
You have to check your RAM memory .
Some times this problem occurs becasue of faulty RAM or confliction between 2 RAM .
So check your RAM in other Laptop or try with only 1 RAM 1 by 1 if you have 2 RAM .
Thakns for using fixya.
Please rate thisd solution if it helps.
