Question about Kodak EASYSHARE M1063 Digital Camera
I had this camera for like 4-5 months, but only maybe 3 of the months I owned it, did it work. I dropped it and that was why it stopped working. I know that much because the lens was all bent. I sent it away and it came back yesterday. I read the report and it says...
Problem Reported: Camera is not functional, will not power one. Which was correct.
They "repaired and reseated lens assembly."and asked to allow the battery to charge for 7 to 8 hours before use. It charged all last night and all this morning, It says it performed fully "funtionally" before they sent it back ( They can't spell, I reallized this)
I woke up today really excited to have my camera back. I unplugged it and didn't drop it, or use it roughly. It was in the same place I left it. Noone bumped it or moved it or unplugged it until now. IT charged for at least 15 hours..at least.
I went to turn it on, and it won't even go to the Kodak Logo like it did BEFORE repairs. It makes a funny noise. The lens came out away from the body a tiny bit, but it shut off even before it could come back in.
I want to send it back, or just get rid of it all together but I thought i'd check with the internet first. I found alot of people have this problem !
I Don't like it !
P.S. Im 13, so if i used the wrong terms, or spelled something incorrectly, apologies. :)
This problem is frequently due to corroded battery terminals inside the
camera. Remove the batteries and wipe the terminals with a soft cloth
(heavy corrosion may require a fine wire brush, steel wool, or
sandpaper). Remove any residue left in the camera by the cleaning.
Clean the terminals on the batteries in the same manner, and then
replace them in the camera. This cures most problems, but if it
doesn't work for you, check the Kodak troubleshooting guide at:
It uses a simple Q&A format to diagnose problems and propose solutions.
