I am not familiar with a cleanable lint trap in washers, but there may be one in yours.
To find out, type "Searspartsdirect" into your search engine, and when you get that site, type your model number into the correct box and you machine will be displayed for you to look at.
(I did, it works well)
See if you can find a lint trap listed.
God bless your efforts.

Where is the filter on the Estate washer ETW4400XQ0?

I can't find the user manual for this particular Whirlpool washer And manuals of a similar model number don't mention the filter location. The customer service phone number at Whirlpool is 1 800 253 1301 and they would want that model number to help. I thought this had a self cleaning filter. Sadly, lint filters may be in quite a variety of locations: https://www.mrappliance.com/blog/2017/march/the-washers-lint-trap-needs-cleaning-too/

I have alot of particles in the bottom of my washer at the end of the cycle.. if i run another cycle with no clothes they stay in the bottom of the washer..appears to be dirt, leaves..etc

Hello, Suzanne -

So someone, whose clothes are washed in your machine, picks up "crud" on his or her clothes. (My dad used to collect "crud" in his pants cuffs and pants pockets, so my mom would make sure she emptied the pockets and cuffs over a wastebasket before putting his clothes in the washing machine.)

First, make sure pockets, cuffs, and whatever else clothing parts might collect "crud" are emptied over a wastebasket prior to placing in the washing machine.

"Crud" like pet hair or disintegrated facial tissue left in a pocket may still be left over in a washing machine tub after clothes are removed. I use a wet sponge to wipe out the washing machine tub when ever I see left over "crud."

Newer washing machines have lint traps, which are not as easy to access as those on clothes dryers. The washing machine lint trap may need cleaning out.

Where is the lint trap located?

Although I have never seen a lint trap on a washing machine ( only on a clothes dryer), I suppose there is such a thing as that.
To find out, I would type "SearsPartsDirect" into my search engine on my computer, and then type my model number into that web site when they ask for it.
Upon receiving a picture of the parts, I would search out "lint trap" and see if one is listed.
God bless your efforts.

I have a Kenmore 70 series Washing machine top load model 110 serial number 82870120 . where is the lint trap located and how to take out to clean? clothes have a lot of lint after being washed.

It is likely that a tissue or paper product was included with the wash load. The series 70 does not have a lint trap. At the hose connection to the house drain lint has been known to build up restricting the emptying. This buildup would not introduce lint into the washer.

If the water temperature is very very cold and you use powder detergent it will not dissolve completely into the water and will leave a white residue on the fabrics.

Try running a short load in the washer allowing for ample water to rinse out the machine before the next wash load.

A lot of lint left on the clothers after load finished. Rinsing twice more only helped a little. My machine is about 12 years old. Don't know model but it's a top-loading with mini-basket.

Have you ever cleaned the lint trap? many people do not realize that washing machines have lint traps too. It is usually located under the fabric softener cup in the agitator -- not sure on yours without model number. It has a lot of tiny holes in it that clog fairly easily. One trick to clean it is to put it down in the drum where the wash goes and run a wash cycle, but you may have to do a bit by hand as well. Hope this helps.

Where is the filter?

Hi,
To find the filter you need to do the following steps. Find your lint trap. Lint traps in washing machines can be in the agitator (the large plastic piece in the center of the tub), at the top of the washer on the rim of the tub, or attached to the washing machine's drainage hose. Pull out the agitator tube to check for the lint trap. Peel any loose lint from the filter. Scrub away lint that doesn't peel off easily with a heavy-duty paper towel or a wet sponge. Feel your way around the top rim of the washing machine's basin. If you locate a trap, pull it straight out of the machine. Peel away loose lint and follow up with a wet sponge or heavy-duty paper towel. Check your machine's drainage hose for an attached lint trap. Remove the trap and peel the top layer of lint off. Rinse the trap in low-pressure, warm water. Reattach to the drainage hose. Check for and remove any lint or debris that may have dropped into the washing machine basin during the cleaning.

How to locate and clean the lint trap

Top load washing machines do have lint filters, they used older models have trays that sit on top of the agitator. Newer ones aren't as obvious and are attached to the bottom of the inner tub. If you remove the agitator, you'll see a bunch of holes in the bottom of the tub, the filter right behind these holes. Cleaning/replacing it involves removing the inner tub, so it's not an easy task. It is likely that by the time you're having problems with the filter, it will be beyond cleaning and will need to be replaced. Considering all the trouble it takes to get to, you might as well.
