Question about Acer Aspire 5500 5570-2609 Laptop
After a small spillage onto the keyboard - the spacebar & alt gr keys were removed to dry & clean underneath - now I can't refit them. The keyboard & computer still works perfectly - but those two keys are 'unhinged' on the lower edge. The local repair shops are not interested - just want to sell & fit a new keyboard - quoted Au$140!!
Removing the keys can sometimes damage the very small retaining clips then it won't clip back in place.
You can get replacement keyboards on the Internet, I've bought keyboards for approx. US$20 from the USA. The keyboard is easy to remove and replace, no need to get a techo to do it.
