TV does not start up

I am having a similar problem. The TV stopped starting up one fine day. It's 4 years old. There is no red light next to the power button. Absolutely nothing happens when I push the button in.
A local technician opened it up and diagnosed the transformer to be blown. Does anyone know how much a transformer for the Panasonic Viera LCD should cost?
