Lb (rather than L6) indicates a low battery. You need to replace the 9V battery in the carbon monoxide detector. The Err suggests an internal error but could just be due to the low battery.
If the Err persists after you replace the battery, press the peak level button (the right hand button) and check for an additional error code. If the Err message continues, replace the Night Hawk unit. If the unit is still under warranty, contact the manufacturer. Most of these units have a 10 year warranty. L6 is actually "Lb", which is a low battery warning. If the 9V battery is missing, or if the battery's power is low, an "Lb" message will display, which blink's alternately with the current CO reading, while chirping. If this happens, you need to replace the battery.

You don't mention how old the detector is. If it is more than 5 years old the detector may be beeping to indicate the end of its service life. A smoke detector can last much longer but carbon monoxide detectors have a limited life span. If putting in new batteries doesn't fix the problem then most likely you will need to replace it.
