Question about Lands Phones

BInatone 3410. Remote units keep beeping intermittently with a three tone (medium, low, then slightly higher) or a two tone (high, higher) beep. I have Low Battery and Out of Range tone signals switched OF. Running one base and 5 remote units, HS 1 to 5.

Thanks for the idea of re-registering. The procedure was somewhat different from the one you described.

    Handset
    a) I had to press OK before square boxes arrived
    b) SW REVIEW appeared , not TEST
    c) Pressing 5 did nothing, but I could navigate to REGISTRATE using the arrows and then DE-REGISTER
    d) Display showed BASE 1 directly, not BS 1 2 3 4
    Base Station
    a) Your instructions miss out pressing Menu/OK on the handset and finding REGISTRATION

Fortunately I have the handbook/manual so I discovered the full process from this.

However, I am still getting beeps three toe and two ton beeps from the Handset furthest awa y from the base. any further ideas?

Normally a reset solve most of this problem.Remove all batteries and disconnect power supply from the mains.Leave for 20-30 min, put every thing back and it may solve this.

I would suggest you to reregiter the handsets to the base.

Remove and refit a handset battery. On refitting the battery 4 dashes appear in the display. As soon as you see the 4 dashes press and release the OK button quickly. TEST appears in the display Press 5. Handset should now display NOT SUB and be ready for registration.

Unplug power adaptor from rear of base station and reconnect. Make sure that you take out the correct lead as you could remove the line cord. You now have 3 minutes to carry out the following procedure. On the new handset press Menu button and press an arrow button until REGISTER shows in display. Press OK. Display shows “BS 1 2 3 4” Press “1” then the display shows PIN. Enter pin code (default 0000) and press OK. The display shows SEARCH while the handset is searching for a base station. When it finds one, the RFPI number is displayed. Press OK.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue.

I have binatone 100 walkie talkies. they have power to them but we cannot talk into them, they just keep bleeping when we try and talk. any suggestions?

  • Have you checked your batteries? This radio will not transmit with to low of batteries but it will beep every 15 seconds or so. This radio utilizes AAA batteries.

  • The other thing this could be is your pressing "Call" rather than "Talk." That's called "call paging tone." So make sure you press the "Talk" button when you want to transmit your voice because if you press "Call" you will only send a 2 second beep.

How do i turn up volume on hp officejet all in one

Adjust the volume

The HP All-in-One provides three levels for adjusting the Ring and Beep Volume and
the Phone Line Monitor Volume.

The ring volume is the volume of the phone rings. The beep volume is the level of
button press and error beeps. The default Ring and Beep Volume setting is Soft.

The Phone Line Monitor Volume is the volume of dial tones and fax tones. The
default Phone Line Monitor Volume is Medium.

To adjust the Ring and Beep Volume from the control panel

1. Press Setup.

2. Press 4, and then press 4 again. This selects Basic Fax Setup and then selects Ring and Beep Volume.

3. Press to select one of the options: Soft, Loud, or Off.

4. Press OK.

To adjust the Phone Line Monitor Volume from the control panel

1. Press Setup.

2. Press 4, and then press 5. This selects Basic Fax Setup and then selects Phone Line Monitor Volume.

3. Press to select one of the options: Medium, High, or Low.

4. Press OK.

I have a barcode scanner Symbol S/N M1J82M51E. When scanning the item barcode it makes very low volume. How to increase the bipping scanning volume for the Symbol Scanner?

1. Press and hold the trigger for an extended period of time (approximately 5 seconds). The scanner cycles through three settings (Low, Medium, High) emitting a 2-beep tone at each setting.
2. To select a particular setting, release the trigger after you hear the desired 2-beep tone.

My daughter has a samsung sch-r500 and dropped it. Now the screen is broke and can't see it. It keeps vibrating when it gets texts like every 3 minutes. How do I change the settings on the tones/vibrate...

The long button on the left side of the phone is what controls the tone/vibrating. Are you trying to set it to ring or turn the sound off completely?
If you want it to ring open it, and hit either button on the left side. Then hit the upper button once for it to beep one time when a text or call is received, twice for low, 3 times for medium, 4 times for medium/high, and 5 for high.
If you want to silence it, hold the bottom button on the left side down.

3 Beeps after trying to scan

If you are receiving three quick beeps (all the same tone) before a scan the battery is low. If the scanner is more than two years old the battery may need to be reconditioned. It is recommended the battery be reconditioned once a year. The latest revision of the LS4278 manual is here:
http://support.symbol.com/support/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=6983404apdf&sliceId=&dialogID=134112767&stateId=0%200%2014115220

Print page 28 of 414 and scan the Battery Recondition barcode. The scanner will discharge the battery then charge it up again. It goes through this two times so you need to leave it on the charger a while for this process to complete. Hopefully this will resolve your issue. If not, you may need a new battery.

If the beeps are low, medium, high the procedure above still may work, but you might want to call Motorola for assistance. Sometimes hearing the beeps helps to diagnose the problem.

Cant get ring tone or phones to work

This question was posted on the troubleshooting page for the VT-9118. This answer is specific to this model; other models have slightly different sequences.
The VT-9118 can use one of 4 different ring tones, and can be turned off.

To reset your ring tone:
  1. Remove the handset from the base.
  2. Press PROG. You should hear a single short beep.
  3. Press #.  You should hear a single short beep.
  4. Press a number 1 through 4. You should hear a long "ring" tone (it might be startling!). You can try other numbers from 1 to 4 to hear them all.
  5. Press MEM to confirm your ring. You will hear a medium beep.
To turn the ringer off, follow the same instructions, but choose number 5.

Hope this helps you. If you need for information, you can download the user manual from http://www.vtechphones.com/docMgt/public/art/313/vt9118.pdf
