Question about Plantronics DSP-400 Headset
The mute button always comes on when I start up my computer. So I click it off, no problem. But now, it seems to stay on. I suspect I might have on this last occasion pressed too hard. Of course I'm looking for a fix on this?
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

SOURCE: No speaking ability
The mute button on these is the little black button on top of the earpiece. It will only be on if you turn it on during a call. If you turn the headset off, the mute button goes off as well.
Check the compaibility 'wheel' on the side of the base station. The most common setting is 1 but some phones use 2,3 & 4. Just try it on each setting until it works. Other than that, check the microphone volume adjust setting underneath the base (ABCD switch) and see if changing that makes a difference. Of course there is always a small chance that the microphone is dead.
