Why is the white background not white?

This is a common problem. The metering and light balance are the reasons that you are having problems achieving good results with your photos.

All cameras on the auto cycle are calibrated for 18% gray. Another words a photo of all white results in 18% gray. A photo of black results in 18% gray. The camera adjusts the shutter speed and aperture to achieve an average light level of 18%. That is why photos of snow always appear gray. To compensate for this characteristic of the cameras an 18 % gray panel is held in front of the camera and than the settings are set.manually. The metering in the camera is now locked and using the same light levels objects will be in their natural level.

A second problem is the white balance. Using flash avoids some of these problems. Adjusting the camera for source lighting type will help the most. The light balance is the cause of discoloration of the objects in the photo. Usually the camera white balance can be set for auto, incandescent, fluorescent, outdoor or flash,

Use a manual setting if it is available on you camera, You need to adjust the settings until you get acceptable results. If the photo is dark add light by reducing the aperture number to a lower number allowing more light. After the aperture is open wide(lowest number) increase the exposure to longer time. With very low light levels a tripod may be necessary.. After doing this once record the numbers for next time.

What to numbers can you multiply to get 280 and add to get-18?

When you say "to numbers" I assume you meant "two numbers."

There is no solution.

For the product of two numbers to be 280, either both numbers must be positive or both numbers must be negative. For the sum of two numbers to be -18, one or both numbers must be negative. Taken together, both numbers must be negative.

We can find two numbers that multiply to 280 and add to +18, then simply take the negative of both numbers.

The square root of 280 is about 16.7. The sum of any two numbers that multiply to 280 must be at least twice that, or at least 33.4. Since 33.4 is greater than 18, there is no solution.

If you want to do it the hard way, take any pair of negative numbers that multiply together to 280, add them together, and see how close you come to -18. For example, -1 and -280 add to -281. -2 and -140 add to -142. -4 and -70 add to -74. -5 and -56 add to -61. -7 and -40 add to -47. -8 and -35 add to -43. -10 and -28 add to -38. -14 and -20 add to -34, which is as close as you can come in the integers.

5/6+11/9= ?

What a strange question for digital cameras... anyway, you have to make them both 18ths.
5/6 is 15/18
11/9 is 22/18
Now you can add them together to get 37/18
37 is a prime number, so you can't simplify it, so 37/18 is your answer.
Otherwise known as 2 1/18 (two and an eighteenth, or 2.055 556)

I don't of any system that is simpler to add a device to. The process is in the manual and is something like press "add" on the panel, follow some prompts and press a button on the rear of the motion sensor. Pretty easy if you dont have keypad phobia. Electronic version of the manual is at this location (adding a sensor starts on page 18).

I took 18 pictures and the display is saying FEE I cannot take anymore pictures what does this mean?

Need more information..
.. memory capacity, internal and/or expansion (cards), file size/resolution of the pictures....

I would suggest that the memory is full, and the solution is to transfer the 18 photos to your computer and clear out the memory, or add more memory.

If you have an expansion card installed, maybe you need to tell the camera where to store the photos.
