Yes it is very possible and frankly there are easier ways to do it. The most important thing that you can do with your computer is to FIRST backup all important data like for example anything in My Documents or on your desktop. all your bookmarks or favorates from your browser. Google drve is free is one suggestion. Or backup to dvd's. Then make sure that you have a good recovery disks or restore disk if need be. You can never have too many backups. One thing that you might consider doing is hire to have someone come over and do it for you and take notes and ask questions It would be well worth the cost to do so if you are not certain how to do things.
