Is this the one ?
CONTROLS IGN 1
Red (10)
Powertrain Control Module/Cooling Fan Control Module/Automatic Transaxle

The wiring or one of these listed above has a short . Disconnect the cooling fan control module and see if the problem goes away , if it does you need a new cooling fan control module . Do you know where it is ?

will that cause your gas pedal speedometer quit working and then the transmission downshift to lower gear Fuse blows and I change and it's fine for a little bit then blows again

  • Jeff Armer Jan 27, 2017

Yes , if it is the PCM shorting inside for some reason.

  • Jeff Armer Jan 27, 2017

The PCM controls all of those ! VSS - vehicle speed sensor is a n input to the PCM , which then sends speed info to the instrument cluste vis class 2 serial data bus. Controls shifting , electronic throttle control (gas pedal )

  • Jeff Armer Jan 27, 2017

You may need a new PCM

What could cause Ignition 1 no 2 fuse to blow intermittently

aI dont recommend it but you can try a higher amperage fuse to see if the problem happens. Fuses are really not currently limited, they are there for short circuits, if yours is blowing intermittantly, you might have a connection probelm etc.

What i can do next ? i have put new tps. and new throttle motor and codes still shows throttle stuck open and forced idle the explorer 04 still won't accelerates

The problem never had anything to do with
the TPS Sensor, the TACM throttle body motor

When you don't own & work from Factory Diagnostic
Manuals, you don't know the system your working on
or learn anything

Your problem is the ignition coils or modules

I'm all too familiar with all the throttle body codes
Non of the codes have anything to do with the
factory reference manuals either, they help but
stop short of telling you the PCM gets spikes in
what is called a Quizzer which is inside the PCM
but a separate section dedicated to processing
the throttle plate position, control of the motor
& your pushing on the gas pedal & the input from
that or the ETC which is the gas pedal electronic
throttle control

The bad ignition coils are why most repair shops
& dealers can't fix a ford.

2002 tahoe blowing 40amp large fuses in fuse block under the hood

You have a short in that wiring, most likely related to your starting motor. Pull the starter relay (in the underhood fuse box) and try a new fuse to see if that is the case. If so you will need to have the motor checked. If not, there are a variety of systems that use this feed via the ignition switch and each will have to be checked (including the switch). Ignition Fuse keeps blowing

Hi Jeff , in what fuse box is this 10 amp ign. fuse located ? I am looking at a power distribution diagram and i see a IGN 3 10amp fuse located in the I/P fuse box ! Is this the fuse that blows ? I see where you replaced the 10 amp with a 30amp . That is never a good idea , you don't want to make your problems worst . Melt wiring harness , could start a fire . Do you know how to do electrical trouble shooting ? How to use a wiring diagram , power distribuition diagram ? That fuse is hot in the run , powers the rear Heat / A/C , automatic level relay, ESC - electronic suspension control module , rear wheel steering control module , Plus someother thing's depending which vehicle , Y91 - ULT . Your Taho doesn't have all this options . http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html find the thing's that fuse powers , disconnect them one at a time till the problem goes away .

2001 mercury grand marquis 15 amp fuse blows blows when put in drive fuse controls speed ometer fuel gauge oil pressure gauge amp gauge

Check under the dash at your Brake pedal interlock switch. It is timed with the gearshift Interlock and Ignition switch. This switch usually gets hit by feet and dislodged or broken. When you shift out of Park, the switch is toggling to a broken piece and shorting out.

The brake interlock switch is at the top half of the pedal lever. The other part of the Interlock uses a rod or cable in the steering column Ignition switch and mates with the shifting mechanism.
