I have water in the bottom of my fridge, from what I have read it is because the drain line is clogged. I can't find the drain tube

The water is caused by a blocked drain when the freezer units defrosts. It does this once every 24 hours.

If you pull the fridge out, on the back just below the freezer that is a small black u-bend. That is blocked. Pull it off, soak it in hot water and bleach for 30 minutes. Then flush it through with cold water. Put a little bleach in it and carefully replace it. At the next defrost, the bleach will be diluted and it will clean the pipe down to the compressor pan.

The water comes from the evaporator coils, which are behind the panel at the back of the freezer.

General Elec. refrig. about 12 yrs. old. water in bottom of frig., cleaned up, found water a second time.

drain is cloged. at some point the ref section was set too cold. the defrost water from freezer drains through the ref back wall. becaust it was set too cold the drain froze. two ways to fix .... empty unit and unplug for 24 hrs. OR remove back panel, defrost drainrail, remove bottom panel ,remove ice, insert 1/4 inch tube down drain, and squirt very hot water down drain till it is clear of ice..... when defrosted set ref on "3"

My freezer is still freezing but the fridge is not cold. You can hear it running but nothing. HELP!

is the fan running in the freezer? if not replace fan .if not unplug fridge,,remove all inside pannels in freezing unit,,in the bac ,in the middle, on the bottom ,there is a drain that drains into the very bottom of fridge,is it like aice bottom across the bottom of the freezer?if so,use hot water to defrost all the ice and may be a hair dryer, water will melt and **** down the drain threw the drain tube,to the bottom of fridge into a shallow pan under the fridge, that slides out(could be messey).clean all bottom of freezer out good(crumbs mostley)that stop up drain and pour water threw drain a few time to clear drain good.reasemble and ur good to go.now if there is no ice and drain is good, you might find ice on coils, this means ur defrost timer is most likeely gone out ,just replace timer

Refrigerator and Freezer are not cold enough

sounds like your fridge is iced up.To cheak this you will need to remove rear panel in freezer compartment and cheak if there is ice buld up.If so you may need a defrost timer or your drain tube may be plugged..If those are fine cheak if your defrost thermostat is ok and not split.Hope this helped:)

FREezer works fine, frig will not go less than 40 degrees and unit never cuts off

the problem is the freezer drain is plugged up. when the fridge goes into defrost, the water that is suppose to drain out has no where to go. so it refreezes . that ice has plugged up the blend air vents between the freezer & the fridge.
1st put your food in a cooler. Unplug the refridge.
(you may want to take pictures as you go.for the reassembling)
open up the freezer, remove the rear panel, & the bottom panel (if possible)
you will see the coils, underneith the coils you will see an metal tray. it will probly have ice on it.
with a blow dryer, heat the ice till you see the drain . now that drain has to be cleaned out.
that drain runs down to the bottom of refridge into a drain pan. with a wet vac , attach it to the drain tube, until you fell suction in the freezer. small amounts of hot water does help.
( it usually gets plugged up from bugs)

next , open the fridge ,on the ceiling of the fridge.there will be a plastic cover (most models) remove the cover carefully. usually there are 2 passiges from the freezer to the fridge. that is where the cold air drops into the fridge. there will probally be ice in these passages, which has to be removed.(be careful with the stirofoam)

once you have cleaned out all the ice ,reinstall all those pieces.
plug back in the refridge. It will tak a day for it to get cold again.( hint get 2 bags of ice to help speed up the cooling down process)

Water is not draining into pan. it is going inside fridge under

sounds like a drain clog in the freezer compartment above. remove the freezer rear panel and totally defrost the evaporator area, directly under the evap you see( under all taht ice) a small drain hole that has become frozen over, try defrosting with either a hair dryer( not a heat gun too much heat youl melt everything) or by pouring hot water donw the drain until you get a free flow of water down the tube. after its clear reassemble and you should be fine
