connect the + lead to the spool gun so that there is power at the end of the wire to make the arc
there should have been a user manual showing how to connect it into the system
try searching -- user manual for ( make and model of ) spool gun
There are several models and they look nice, they are not heavy duty units. They can weld up to 1/4 inch or about 5 mm. The thing you want to look for is duty cycle. That machine has 60% duty cycle at 160 AMPS. That means you can weld for 6 minutes at 160 Amps before you have to let the machine cool off.
I found a forum addressing the welder you mentioned. They are amused, as you will be, by the manual. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/11148130/MishtoWelder/MIG200.pdf
It is ridiculously useless. Try taking your welder to a high school shop teacher or find a local hobbyist welder -- because welding supply stores hate these Chinese boxes that cut into their sales and will not be helpful.
That could be a number of things. Too much heat inside welder could also do this by creating more resistance in your leads. The easist place to start would be to take the cover off your welder and blow all the dust off your electronics so it has a way too cool properly. Make sure all power is disconnected before attempting this. Try this simple fix first. Any welding machine on the market can benefit from this simple preventative maintenance!
