SOURCE: 2008 KAWASAKI 600ZZR FUEL PUMP NOT RUNNING.

I doubt that jump starting your machine would have cooked your fuel pump.Does the machine still turn over if not you may have cooked the E.M.U if so the easiest way to check the fuel pump is to unplug it from the loom useing two suitable lengths of wire conect the pump directly to the battery if the the pump emits hum it is working & you will need to check your wireing for possible burns you say the fuses all checked ok I can only assume that you only cheked the fuses by eye in which case it is not allways easy to tell a fuse is blown by visual inspection the only proof positive way is with a multimeter. Another simple test is to bridge the fuse holder first remove the fuse then useing a short piece of wire (no more than fifteen amp you dont want cook the system if there is a fault elsewhere) bare the wire at each end & place it in where the fuse normaly resides turn on the Ignition if the pump comences to function discard offending fuse insert a new one & of you go. hope you are in the wind again soon

SOURCE: vulcan1500 will not start

On The vulcan you can access the starter relay directly, you have 2 bolts for the power leads on the back, carefully short the two big bolts with a screw driver, this wil put power directly on the starter bypassing all. If you think that there is a problem maybee with the starter, then 1st remove the starter from the engine and do the same test outside the engine to avoid damage.
i do have starters in stock. www.bikepartsonline.co.za

I have zx6r that wont start changed battery for new but all i get is a clicking sound. any ideas

Follow the large wire from the positive pole on the battery to a small relay with two large wires on it.
That is the starter solenoid, jump from one off the post to the other big post on the solenoid and see if the
starter works. IT WILL SPARK when you jump it use a big wire.
If starter works then 99% sure solenoid is bad.

You replied to a problem with my kawasaki 750 not starting due to a problem with a bad earth and the speedomoter melting the outer rubber when ignition is turned on possibly from jump starting it from a...

It's OK to jump a bike from a car if the car is NOT RUNNING. If you jump the solenoid with a screwdriver or piece of wire and the starter works, the solenoid is bad. If you hold the starter button and tap the starter with a plastic hammer and the starter works you need brushes or a new starter.

Turnover problem with toro 16-42z riding mower

A fully charged battery should read a minimum of 12.65, if it does not and connections and grounds are dirty then that's your problem. Start with a none fully charged battery. If you can bypass the solenoid and start it then the culprit is the solenoid. Good luck. donnyb60

Bike is completely dead

Could be the relay switches such as the flasher relay etc. Wiring could also be the problem. A shorted positive wire on the chassis (negative) can have a negative effect on all the other circuits.
