Control locked light is on.

Problem with Maytag MHWE450WW front load Maytag washer. The washer door is locked and will not open. I tried several suggestions in the manual, but none work. Please help!!! My email address is

Here's what the Duet tech sheet says to do:


1. Press PAUSE/CANCEL button on the touch-pad twice.
2. Drain the unit, then check that the Drain hose and Drain Pump
Filter is clear of foreign objects.
3. Check/ Replace Touch-pad/LED assembly.
4. Check harness connections.
5. Check the CCU.

This is a common issue with Whirlpool Duet washer however; your whirlpool duet washer needs a reset to resolve the control lock problem. Press and hold the END OF CYCLE /CYCLE SIGNAL button for 15 seconds to reset the control. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

I had that problem before go to the front of the washer and go over to the End of cycle signal and hold the button for 3 seconds that should unlock it I hope this helps

Press and hold the botton that says control lock on or off////be about 3 seconds might be two buttons at one time//that will unlock the control....good luck please vote...............thank you

Press END OF CYCLE button and hold it for 10 seconds.. It will turn of the control lock feature..

Press and Hold down the END CYCLE button for 3-5 seconds. Code will turn off and you can start your washing machine.

Need to have the "Control Lock" off our front loading machine

usually you can push and hold the button next to the lock light. it will have a picture of a lock next to it. if you push and hold it for 5 seconds it should unlock the control board.

push and hold in far right button on conrtol panel( look closly you see control lock) hold for 3 secs and it will turn off
