Question about Samsung CXJ1952 19 in. Combo
I see another person's post as I am searching for help. We also just had comcast installed and they had to come out to fix the "box" today. 30 minutes after they left the subtitles/closed caption came on and wont turn off.
I'm guessing your Samsung has the same configuration options as mine...
1. Press the menu button on your remote to display the menu.
2. Use the down button (below the enter button) on the remote to scroll down to the "Setup" option.
3. Press the right arrow button then scroll down to "Caption".
4. Press the right arrow button twice, then highlight the off option and press the enter button on your remote.

The closed caption option is--or should be--a function of the TV. You should be able to turn that off by pressing the button that's marked cc, ccd, or closed captions that is on your original Samsung TV remote. Press the button until the word "off" appears and then stop.
