Hi I recently changed my facebook contact email. I got a confirmation email. And still can't log in my old email or the new one. I emailed facebook several times and have not heard back. please help!!!

    Yes, I've done that and haven't received an email back yet. I'm still getting emails from facebook when someone writes on my wall. But nothing about resetting my password. Very annoyed!

    I can't go to the setting tab, because I can't log in. I've tried resetting my password several times and I've gotten no emails back from them.

    Do one thing. Create a new act and add ur lost act to it. You can then see ur wall n other stuffz. Alert ur frnds abt the same n use the new act.

Click on forgot password and punch in your email id and the password will be send to your email in box. then log-in and check under you profile, have you provided the correct email.

    It seems you are putting in the incorrect email, did you try both the old and new.

    You can change your login email address at any time in the Settings tab of the Account page. Please note that you can log in with any email address you have added to your account. However, if you no longer have access to an email address associated with your Facebook account, you will need to contact your email service provider in order to regain access to that address.

Additional email addresses can be listed on your profile as well if you chose.
Changing, adding or deleting email addresses on your Facebook account is easy to do.

Log in to your Facebook account.
Select the "Account" menu in the upper right corner of the screen and select "Account Settings" from the drop-down menu.

Click on "General" from the list in the left panel of the Account Settings page.
Click on "Email" in the main window to expand the section.

Click "Remove" next to any email address to delete it.
Click "Add another email" and type a new address into the space provided.
Click the radio button next to any email address to designate it as the primary Facebook email address.
Click "Save Changes."

Facebook sends a confirming email.
The change does not take place until you open the email and confirm the change.

Need to tranfer my facebook account from one email addressto my new one
Click on "Settings" at the top. In there is a "Contact Email" setting where you click on "Change" then it sends you a confirmation email to the new address. Don't forget to select the circle next to the new address box when you type it in. You can go to Profile, then Info and edit contact info (add/remove email). I hope it helps :-)

Facebook has settings it uses (that YOU set it up with) to confirm any changes to your account.

Any time you change something on Facebook, it will confirm that YOU are the proper owner of the account by sending a CONFIRM email to (the email address you set it up with.) You would need to CONFIRM this email (your old email address?) before any changes take place.

If you changed your email you should have registered this change in your Facebook account settings FIRST.

Try logging in to Facebook with your old account settings (email/password), then go straight to changing your default email contact address (this is not effective until it receives a REPLY from this NEW email account, so it can verify that the NEW account is actually valid.)
THEN Facebook will have finalized your change.

It is ironic that the link that will help you log in is only available after you log in. I would create a new account and in Help: there is a specific link where you can contact them about not being able to log in with your old email. Hi. I had a similar problem... it can be fixed! Email facebook and explain what happened. Be patient and persistent.
send email to:
[email protected]
the first email I received back from them (day after I emailed) was generic saying:
"Our records indicate that there is not a disabled account associated with the address you are writing from. If you are referring to another account that has been disabled, please contact us directly from the email address you use to log in to that account..."
Except the email I was using DID belong to my missing account. So I replied with the SAME original message. And detailed what happened to my account.
I received a SECOND response, identical to the first.
I emailed them AGAIN detailing what happened.
FINALLY (about 1 1/2 weeks later) I received this email:
"Hi Chelsey,
Your original account has been reactivated and you should be able to access it now. Sorry for the inconvenience. If you have any further questions, please visit our Help Center at the following address:
