Our duet is a similar model # to yours (GEW925) and we have the same problems. Sometimes the various settings work and sometimes they do not. Sometimes the dryer does not want to come on at all, but will eventually work on some settings. I cannot change the temperature setting - it just beeps at me! The only thing you can do is replace the user interface on you unit. It has an intermittent sticking button on it. If you accidentally dislodge this mysterious bad button, it will work temporarily. You can go to www.sears.com and click parts direct. Enter your model number and click the control panel category. You will need the user interface board and not the main control.
