Question about Philips Home Audio&Video: HOME THEATER IN A BOX System

Philips HTS3357/05 home cinema system

We recently purchased this system. The two tallboy speakers do not seem to be working; a strange hissing sound is coming out of both the speakers. Can someone help me out fix this problem?

Same problem here! Front and rear output the noise even when volume is at zero.

Play a CD and set the volume low. You will hear the noise. Unbelievable that a brand like philips is producing such audio system.

I got the HTS3357/98 ...same problem with noise on the front and rear speakers. To make the problem worse, in Malaysia, we are not allowed to return purchased products.

We can only exchange for the same product and in this case, all units are having the noise problem and so exchange policy is not something meaningful. Sent it for repair, the noise is reduced but still there. Not worth the effort. Disappointed and lost confidence with philips.

I have no audio for any of my speakers, the subwoofer is plugged in correctly and so are all of the wires. They aren't broken anywhere or anything we haven't even had it a year yet and so now its too late to return to Target.

Same problem here with HTS3357/12... This system is also REALLY **** from an electronics point of view (I have checked inside and I know what I am talking about), that's the reason why the sound is so horrible on the front and rear speaker. It is as simple as a SCAM.
No more Philips for me.

That shouldn't happen, what kind of cable are you using? you should try an hdmi cable. its electronic so it either works or doesn't and there shouldn't be any lag at all.

Home Cinema Samsung HT Z310R- Speakers not working with TV

You need just one cable that goes from your TV to your HT system.
On your TV you should see an RCA jack for "AUDIO OUT" and you need to plug that into your AUXILLARY "AUDIO IN" on your HT system
When you are watching TV and you want the sound to come through the HT system, just set the HT system to "AUX" mode. Most Samsung systems will have 3 'AUX' modes, set the remote on 'AUX 1' then wait a few seconds, if no sound comes through then set it on "AUX 2" wait a few seconds and if it doean't work try AUX 3.
Hope that helps.
