Question about Cell Phones
I live in rainy New Zealand. My Blackberry 8110 Pearl is less than 12 months old. I used it in the rain once, and the whole thing seized up and stopped working. I sent it in to be repaired, but they won't repair it under warranty because of the rain damage. I'm not sure what to do as I just paid NZ$890, and they now want another NZ$440 to fix it. Any suggestions? Has anyone else experienced that same thing? Can anyone give me a crash course in electronics so I can fix it myself? Many Thanks, Victoria.
Well you can try, hope this will work for you.
Open all casing and put the motherboard under the bulb for 2-4 hrs. Hope this will dry humidity of the parts. also clean the keypad.
Best of Luck.
