The lower the number on your fridge will make it cooler, but if it is still not cooling done after an hour or so, after resetting the dial, you made need to contact a technician to check the cooling system on the unit.

What setting must my fridge and freezer be at. Thanks

RFA70 settings Controlling the Temperature of the Fridge Compartment The left hand control wheel on the front panel adjusts the internal fridge compartment temperature. The internal temperature should be 5?C or colder, although some sections such as the salad bin will be slightly warmer. The setting of the control wheel will depend on the location of the fridge freezer, the room temperature and how often the door is opened. The normal set point (marked by a 3 on the dial) is usually suitable. If you need to adjust the temperature turn the control wheel using a coin to avoid damage: Clockwise (higher number) - Colder Anti-clockwise (lower number) - Warmer

Not sure which way I turn the dial to make the fridge and freezer cooler

The lower the number the cooler the setting. Standard settings are left for lower right for higher, left for cooler right for warmer. good luck

I cannot adjust the fridge/freezer temperature

Hi, there

Purchase an appliance thermometer that is specifically made for refrigerators and freezers. These special thermometers were made to withstand cold temperatures and provide an accurate reading when exposed to such temperatures.

2Place the appliance thermometer in a glass of water.

3Set the glass of water with the thermometer in the refrigerator on the middle shelf.

4Check the temperature on the appliance thermometer after 24 hours.
The temperature should register between 37 and 40 degrees Fahrenheit (2 and 4 degrees Celsius) in order to store food safely.
Only barely above freezing -- say 34 degrees Fahrenheit (1 degree Celsius) is even better for food storage at the cost of slightly higher electricity consumption. But check that food is not slowly freezing in any part of the refrigerator, which could make it less palatable.

5Look for the temperature control dial inside the refrigerator if you have to adjust the temperature, and make it warmer or cooler.
If you can't easily see the control dial, check the owner's manual for a diagram that shows the location.
When looking at the refrigerator temperature dial, you may see numbers rather than degrees. The majority of refrigerators use a set of numbers, with the lower numbers representing cooler temperatures and the higher numbers representing warmer temperatures.

6Move the temperature dial in the necessary direction to adjust the temperature up or down. Be sure to move the dial only one number in either direction because it probably will not take much to change the temperature in the refrigerator.

7Adjust the temperature balance control if your refrigerator has such a dial or sliding switch. This allows you to direct more or less cold air to the refrigerator section from the freezer section.

8Wait at least 24 hours, and then check the refrigerator temperature again.

9Observe the amount of frost in the freezer section of the refrigerator if you are unable to properly set the temperature.

10Defrost the freezer if the amount of frost is more than .25 inches (.64 cm) thick.

11Repeat the steps as necessary until the temperature is within the safe range.

12Use a permanent marker to draw a line on the dial after you locate the best setting on the refrigerator temperature dial. This will give you a reference point in case your dial moves and needs to be adjusted in the future.

Hope that helps in solving the problem...

How do i operate the creda 79153, i think i set it wrongly and it costing me more.thanks

You have to regulate the heat yourself by setting the room temperature dial to 1 for a low heat (say for the daytime if you are out) and a higher setting in the evening - Make sure you switch it back to the lower setting before you go to bed. This should make the heat last for most of the day - the other dial is to regulate the heat that is stored so in the summer set it to 1 and the winter store at a higher setting -hope this helps

they are storage heaters and they have bricks in them. They get heated during the night (economy 7), that starts according to what has been set on the system (there shd be a *** 'boiler' room where the economy seven is). Anyway they heat up from the evening say 8 pm to around 6 am. And because the bricks are hot they slowly release heat during the day depending on what level you have set your room temperature to. The overnight charge does what it says on the tin, in that the brick will heat to a level you have set it at. the higher it is the hotter it gets and the more heat you can have during the day.

With the BevAir DW49 does a lower number mean colder or warmer?

1 is usually the warmest setting. The higher the number to colder the setting. Start in the middle and make minor adjustments allowing considerable time in between to dial in the temp of your unit.

Fridge frozen solid

Usually on refrigerators, the highest setting makes it coldest and the lower settings are warmer, relatively. "6" on my dial says "coldest" - Perhaps this is the case for yours? Let's hope it is that simple
