How do I reset the print cartridge on an IP5300?

Word to the wise, NEVER EVER use refilled or non OEM cartridges in any printer! They can do serious damage and you end up buying a whole new printer by trying to save a few bucks on the front end. I used to work for a national chain where we pushed our own after market cartridges. Even at that time I knew what headaches and heartaches it caused. I still directed people pass our own company cartridges straight to HP, Canon, Lexmark, or whomever. Try buying a Canon cartridge and hopefully this will fix it.

please do the following :-

First you have to turn off your computer.
Then you will get a error message on your computer.
Now you can cancel your prints.......

Ink cartridge light bkinks

Your printer thinks a cartridge is empty. If all your cartridges are full it means that the cartridge you bought either has a damaged chip (original Canon cartridge) or didn't have the chip reset on it (refilled cartridge). You need to either buy a new cartridge if one is empty or return the new one with a defective chip for a new one.
