Question about LG 50PC3D 50 in. Plasma Television

1 Answer

I have a 50" LG HDTV. A week ago I turned on the TV only to find no response. No lights, no sound, no nothing. It had worked just fine the night before. I removed the back to find the fuse just off of the power cord in the first bank of circuit boards was bad. The other two fuses on a different circuit board were okay. I replaced the fuse with an identical fuse, only to find that when I plug the TV in it kicks out the breaker on my fuse panel. I don't even get to try to turn the TV on, I just plug it in and it immediately trips the breaker, apparently the fuse is still okay. I haven't removed the back of the TV to find out yet. Could it be the power supply?

Yes, probably a bad power supply. Plamas generally have had a lot of trouble with them and they are generally a cheap first part to replace yourself with the symptoms that you are having. You can get a new one directly through the manufacturer or where you bought it from. Let me know how replacing it goes.
