Select your Outlook version and follow the instructions to change your Outlook account settings:
Microsoft Outlook 2013

- In Outlook 2013, click on theFilemenu, and then clickAdd Account.
- Click to selectManual setup or additional server types, and then clickNext.
- Click to selectPOP or IMAP, and then clickNext.
- On the POP and IMAP Account Settings screen, type the following setting information:
- In theYour Namebox, type your name as you want it to be displayed to recipients.
- In theEmail Addressbox, type your email address. For example, [email protected].
- InAccount Type, selectPOP3.
- In theIncoming mail serverbox, typepop3.live.com.
- In theOutgoing mail server (SMTP)box, typesmtp.live.com.
- In theUser Namebox, type your MSN account name.
- In thePasswordbox, type your MSN password.
- Click to select theRemember Passwordcheck box, if you want to save it.
- Leave theRequire logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)check box unchecked.
- ClickMore Settings.
- Click theOutgoing Servertab, and then click to select theMy outgoing server (SMTP) requires authenticationcheck box.
- Click theAdvancedtab, and then click to select theThis server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)check box underIncoming Server (POP3).
NoteTheIncoming Server (POP3)box should be set to port 995.
- SelectTLSforUse the following type of encrypted connectionunderOutgoing server (SMTP), and then clickOK.
NoteTheOutgoing Server (SMTP)box should be set to port 25. If port 25 is blocked in the network or by your ISP, you can set SMTP port to 587.
- On the right side of the POP and IMAP Account Settings screen, clickTest Account Settings.
If you do not receive errors, your email account is set up correctly. Go to step 6.
If you receive an error, make sure that you have entered all the information correctly, and then clickTest Account Settingsagain. If all the information is correct and you continue to receive errors, go to the "Next Steps" section for more help.
- ClickNext, and then clickFinish.

- In Outlook 2007, click on theToolsmenu, and then clickAccount Settings.
- Click theE-mailtab, and then clickNew.
- Click to selectMicrosoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP, and then clickNext.
- Click to select theManually configure server settings or additional server typescheck box, and then clickNext.
- Click to selectInternet E-mail, and then clickNext.
- On the Internet E-mail Settings screen, type the following setting information:
- In theYour Namebox, type your name as you want it to be displayed to recipients.
- In theE-mail Addressbox, type your email address. For example, [email protected].
- InAccount Type, selectPOP3.
- In theIncoming mail serverbox, typepop3.live.com.
- In theOutgoing mail server (SMTP)box, typesmtp.live.com.
