What model is this machine? How old is it?
It is possible that the sound comes from the water dispenser valve selector. If you could give me more info about your Miele machine, it would be helpfull.

this is a tachogenerator fault or the drive motor brushes are faulty. you will need a Miele service tech or a Miele service agent to look at this.

The only Miele spare parts are direct from Miele or through a Miele service agent. Have a look on the Miele website for your nearest Miele branch or service agent in your country.
I work for Miele and they only sell parts this way. if you call the Miele spare parts number off the website and tell them what model washing machine you have and they will be able to mail one to you or advise a service technician to have a look at it.
