Electronic controls don't count down properly

The dishwasher counts down to 1, then just keeps running. When I open the door, water is still going and suds fill the bottom of the dishwasher. When I close it again and press the start button, it goes to 13, then counts down to 1 and keeps running again. The other day it was reading 58 minutes left in the cycle. When I looked a few minutes later, it was 74 minutes. A time or two before, it stuck on 1 but then operated correctly for a few days until today. Got the same problem. Display stuck at 1.I checked the drain pump, was ok and resoldered one relay pin on the control board. Problem did remain.I got a glance at a Bosch repair manual. If this is error code "1" it points to the Aqua Level sensor "Sensotronic Fault" . That part costs around $37.00 plus S&H. Can I check the sensor with an Ohmmeter? I do not have the electrical diagram.Uwe

I have the exact same problem on my Bosch dishwasher (model SHU68067C). Bought it brand new in 2001 and in Jan. of 2005 this problem first occurred. The repairman came out and replaced the timer. Yesterday (Nov. 19, 2007), the same fault appeared as described above. I guess it is a timer that is kaput again and I will call another repairman. These sure do seem to be a problem.

I too have the exact same problem. We bought the dishwasher new in 1999 and the first time it did this was about 2003. Now it is doing it again. It also leaves a white filmy residue on anything dark and plastic. I need to call a repair person again, but am getting fed up.

I have the same problem, the repair man told me that's how it's supposed to work, but I don't believe him.

I have the same problem - sticking on 1 as well as only letting me do a 2H hold cycle. This is obviiously a major default in design - anyone interested in class action lawsuit for all our trouble???

We have the same problem. The machine ran forever on the last minute. The problem was the burned thru spot on the control board. We just learned that Bosch has a recall for other models for what seems to be the same issue. Why is this model not included?

Same thing, in addition the drying cycle just simply never goes on. Plus it appears the washer is not as warm as it used to be.

You have to replaced the main control resoldering wont fix it because the relay itself has gone bad replacing the board will solve the problem

Not water comes into Bosch dishwasher?

Assuming you have verified water is actually getting to water valve, most likely water valve is the problem and needs replacing.

AEG Favorit 65050VI fills with water but fails to heat or wash (spray). Detergent is released and time counts down. No fault code indicated. Can you please advise?

Have you tried in one of the short cycles which does not heat the water. If the heater is faulty the dishwasher is waiting for the thermostat to click in and start the washer and keeps counting down.

You will have to replace the heater if short cycles are working ok.

Also try to follow the reset sequence shown on page 30 of the manual.

My Bosch dishwasher stops with one minute left on the timer but keeps running most time the soap dispencer door has not opened

Ok The soap dispenser is controlled by a wax plunger. This is mounted in the door on the back of the dispenser. Remove the door panel and gain access to the wax motor. Two wires connected to a brown colored small rectangular box about 1 inch long. You must check this wax plunger for resistance and short circuits. This item is a naughty little thing and can blow up your electronic. for mine I would get a new wax plunger and fit it straight away. They dont cost that much. After this if the fault still counts down to 1 tell me if the motor is still running at the end of the cycle. It very well might be. If this is so the electronic may be faulty. You can menil me on for further assistance.
Also check to see if the cycle works normally on the rinse . That is a cycle whit no heat. Just the pre rinse.

When the washer gets to 1 in the cycle, it doesn't stop washing.

try running the test cycle or running delicate economy in that cycle it gets up to 150 degrees in the very first cycle let it run 15 or 20 min see if the water is screaming hot it is not and Luke warm it is not heating it is most likely a control board heaters very rarely go out

Dishwasher keeps running

I have seen this several times, and all of the times it has a bad control board. usually if you take the control board out, you can see a visibly burnt spot on the back of it wher a connection has melted. Another possible slowrun time problem could be that the water coming into the dishwasher when it fills is not hot. If it isnt hot, it takes the dishwasher longer to heat the water to temp, and therfore it runs longer. Is the water coming out of your tap reasonably hot? if not you may need to turn up your water heater settings. But if nobody has messed with the water heater, or the tap where the dishwasher is attached and the problem just started then thats probably not it. Good Luck!

Electronic controls don't count down properly

Your problem is the electronic control board and unfortant that you cant repair or even get parts for it . Only if you get the whole control board will you fix your problem assy unless you find a good appliance man that repairs electronic control boards
