1.- remove 14 screw on back
y listo.

So that the lock on each side you get a small thing that can poke in margins, careful and only slowly may crack the LCD

Well,I'm having a problem with my hp LCD Monitor L1706. The problem is it doesn't display when i switched it on. But if i leave it for up to 30 to 45 minutes in power it display. Please can you help me so...

You need to open it up, first place to look will be the power supply section, look for bad caps. Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further.
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

HP L1706 LCD Monitor Defocouse ,How solve

For best picture on LCD monitor, the PC video setting should be set to the native resolution of the monitor, which is 1280 x 1024 @60Hz for this model. If it is correctly set up then, you may have the problem with the monitor. Post back so we can guide you further to see if we have to oepn up the monitor.

How do you take off the mounting on a HP L1706 monitor? They are three screws took two off but the third behind the mount is the problem... Does it come apart or has anybody been successful taking it off?

Insert a small flat tip screwdriver about two inches from the top section of the mount. About an inch from either side is the clips holding it into place, be careful not to break the two in the back. If you lean it back toward the monitor as the front clips are loosened, it should just pop out.
