HI, your unit is equipped with a run time device(timer). It may be set to a short run time. Make sure the timer is not on.Secondly, Make sure the temperature in the room is not lower than the set temperature. This will cause a short run time as well. Wait until the room temperature rises to operate unit. This will ensure optimal performance.

The above suggestions are linked to the most common reasons for this type of issue that you are experiencing at this time but, if these suggestions do not yield results, this will confirm a more serious issue that concerns the main control sector. this will require the skilled hands of a qualified Everstar service tech.

***(((Worst case scenario will be a malfunctioning compressor. there is a safety circuit breaker that will cut the compressor current feed and blower fan as well if the compressor is faulty. although highly uncommon, this may be the reason for the quick shut-down)))

One more thing to check before you service this unit is the reservoir. it may be full. this will shut off the unit if so. make sure it is emptied in this case. if the reservoir is not the issue, please disregard this statement.

I see, this will confirm a major control issue in this case. the main control board consist of several logic chips that control the compressor and fan. this control , also, controls the runtime as well. I recommend replacing this board asap. this will restore the proper runtime and, operational value of your unit.

The temp light is directly wired to the control board. this is a strong indicator of control board issue. the light receives the current needed for illumination form the control. if this light isn't illuminated, the control is defiantly damaged.

    A service call is needed.

Unit will not power up just displays E1 Any tips to get this working again.

Not sure what kind of unit you have. Try turning off the main power/unplug it. Wait 5-10 mins and then restore power. E1 is an error code but w/o more info I can't tell what it means. If you have the make/model #? Or the owners manual should tell you.

Portable ac blows warm air even after i cleaned filter

Make sure that the coils are all clean, Vacume cleaner with the brush attachment on the end works well.
Sounds like your fan is only working and not the Compresser that makes the unit an "air conditioner" and not a gloryfied fan.

Check and make sure that the butten is on Cold and that the small water drawer is in correctly so the shut off switch is making good contacts. Important Make sure that it is getting enough electricity at the wall plug, Because when the ac compresser 1st turns on it uses 3-5 times the power for the intial startup, not enough juice means no AC.
The fan only uses a little to blow but AC needs alot to start.
Unit should sound diffrent when AC compreser turns on compared to fan only on mode.

Everstar portable ac 10000 btu

The everstar 10,000 BTU unit will require a dedicated 115 V 15 amp circuit. if there are other things pluged into outlets and running from the same breaker then the 15 amp breaker will trip. Or, these units also have a GFCI plug adapter. Be sure it has not been tripped due to an improperly grounded outlet, or wet location.

Need owners manual for Everstar Portable AC MPM1-10CR-BB6

Needed the manual to clarify a P1 error message. Figured how to fix the error P1 on my own. there are two drains on the unit, one is always open as an overflow drip, the other at bottom of unit has a plug. I opened the plug at the bottom of the unit, drained the water, and the P1 error code cleared.

Everstar portable ac unit displaying error message P1. The unit turned itself off and will not come back on. It had no symptoms of not working well before turning off.

According to my Everstar manual, P-1 is a drainage problem.
EverStar owners manual pg. 16 -

1. Release the drain hose from the ruber clip and pull out the rubber plug, let the drain hose slant down to a water container.

2. Press the TURBO button on the unit control panel for more than 3 seconds and the WATER INDICATOR light begins flashing. It indicates the forced water drainage feature is activated.

3. Waiting until the WATER INDICATOR light stops flashing and there is no water flow.

4. After the water has drained, remember to secure the drain hose and plug in the upright position and clip it to the unit.

The unit will return to normal operation.

....I had to do this and it worked - Good luck!
