Question about RCA RS2046 Shelf System

Music sometimes stops when using USB input

When using the USB input on my RCA RS2046 sometimes the music will stop. It will play for a while then stop. I will have to either disconnect the usb drive or power the unit off to get it to start. It does not stop in the same place every time.

I have the same problem. And when I am using a USB memory stick with an access light, I notice that when the music stops the access light continuously flashes, like it is being continuously accessed. If I turn the whole unit off and unplug the USB stick it resets, and I can start it back up again, but it seems to be more likely to cut off sooner the next time. Could it be a heat-related issue? It is located in a quite warm environment.

I accidently put the rca wires in the wrong audio input/output on my craig cd graphics karaoke player.Could this be why i have no sound?

The RCA outs are designed to send a signal to an external amplifier. That amplifier, in turn, sends the music signal to speakers.
The RCA inputs are designed to take audio signals from another device (like an ipod, CD Player, or computer) and play it through the Craig System speakers. If you sing into the microphone, the vocals will be mixed with the incoming music. However, in these cases, there won't be lyrics on the screen. If you play a karaoke DVD in a DVD player, connect the red, white and yellow RCA cables from the DVD out to the Craig Inputs, the lyrics should appear on the Craig screen while the music plays.
If you mistakenly plug RCA cables into the Craig Inputs and plug the other end into an amplifier's inputs, neither will produce any sound.
Using RCA outs is only necessary if you want to have louder music than the on-board Craig speakers can handle. Of course, you can run the yellow video cable to a TV RCA input to get a bigger lyrics window and the RED and White RCA to the TV RCA Red and White inputs to hear the music through the TV's speakers.

The music to sing along with apparently MUST come from a disk played on the unit. It appears that the external audio jacks are just to use the unit as either a boombox or to drive a larger sound system. Check the input cables from the source you are playing at both ends. Sounds like an input problem, not a speaker problem. Twist the RCA connectors as you push them in to make sure the connection is good.
