The group that plays/sings the original theme song is Primus. The "4th Grade" episodes (which started with the episode "South Park: 4th Grade (#4.11)" and ended with the episode "South Park: Kenny Dies (#5.13)") with the first altered opener was a remix of that song performed by Paul Robb. After that, the theme was replaced by another version of the song, this time performed by Les Claypool's Frog Brigade. Currently, the theme song is a remix of that.
