I'm not sure of the value but there is a SRX web site that should be able to give you some idea and offer guidance to finding parts or fixing problems with this bike Check them out and let us know how it works out.

In front of the lens you will see a white line @ the side rotate it counterclockwise then test the cam if it still out of timing rotate it clockwise then test if has little change adjust it till the timing is perfect.

1995 Yamaha SRX 400 Monoshock - How do you check the engine oil level. I.E. with the bike level or leaning over on its side stand?
Mike, engine oil level on motorcycles are normally checked with bike on level ground on center stand (not leaning or tilting in any direction), or have an assistant hold bike straight while level is checked.
