Your low beams are controlled by the Vehicles BCM - body control module . The BCM energizes the HDLP LO/HID relay located in the under hood fuse box , sending B+ voltage to fuse's # 12 & 16 both 20 amp . LO HDLP - LT & LO HDLP - RT , These are B+ voltage for low beams . Your headlamp low beam relay could be bad or if the BCM isn't energizing it could be a switch problem . Do you know how to do basic automotive electrical testing using a volt meter . Videos on youtube ,plus video's on reading wiring diagrams .You can find free wiring diagrams at http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Also watch testing relays

Check the fusible links under the hood. Also, double check the bulbs are in fact good. Lastly it could be a defective daytime running light relay.

Why aren't my low beams working in auto mode on 2013 Chevy Silverado?

Did you recently replace the battery or require a jump start?

Headlamps (power relays) are under direct control of the BCM. If there are no CEL/MIL codes and high beams work, then it's most likely a BCM program issue.

Regardless of MIL/CEL, you might try disconnecting the battery ground, wait 10 minutes, reconnect and see if the problem clears.

If the CEL/MIL is active then have ODBII codes read.

My 2001 chevy silverado's low beams don't work. I

The wiring for the low beams would run not to the ignition, but to the dimmer switch. I don't know what color they are, but sounds like you are at the source of the problem, if the low beams quit when the column is let down. Pull the trim pieces off the steering column and examine the wires going to the dimmer switch. You may see some wiring insulation scraped off. It could be a bad dimmer switch, but check the wiring first.
Good luck.
