Missing graphics I am trying to print a document that has check mark boxes.  The print preview shows the boxes but when I print the document the boxes are not there.  I have tried printing this document to other printers and the boxes print.

Re: missing graphics

Check the version of print driver. You want a PCL 5e driver, not the PCL6 or PS. Reinstall the print driver from the cd that came with your copier. If that does not fix, check the fonts and set them to downloadable and bitmap in the driver under the advanced tab.

Why doesn't everything shown in preview appear on the printed page?

You need to look at your margins. Many times the screen preview extends beyond the margins. Many devices depending upon your print driver will not always print the same as on the screen. Change your margins to .5" on the document and then check the print. If you live in Southeast Florida Advanced business computers is a great source for help. Prints blank page

Have you checked the print que
Printer problems can be a real hassle.
From time to time, due to document layout or settings on your computer, in your software of choice, or even on your printer, a blank page may get "printed" with the rest of your document.
Fortunately, this issue is a simple one to troubleshoot.
Click "Print Preview" when you are finished with your document and ready to print.
Observe your document.
If you see an extra, blank page, you have created a second page.
To delete the second page, close Print Preview, go back into the document and eliminate any blank lines in your documents that you may not need.
You may also find an inadvertent page break at the end of your document.
Place your cursor on its symbol and delete it.
Locate the symbol by clicking on the Show Formatting paragraph icon in the toolbar.

Circumvent this "ghost page" if you do not see a second (or additional) blank page in Print Preview.

Specify the number of pages you wish to print, within the Print dialogue box.
This is typically done by selecting the "Print From" option, then entering the page numbers desired.
If your document happens to be ten pages (without, of course, that final blank page), then enter in the "Print From" field the numbers "1-10".
This will print only pages 1 through 10, without an eleventh (blank) page.

My HP PSC 1200 printer has started printing all landscape documents as portraits and visa versa. Reinstalling has not helped.

goto the control panel-->printers and faxes and do a right click on the printer goto printing preferences and change the settings as per your need
there is also a check box for showing the preview before printing, check that ,now everytime you want to print something it will show you a preview in advance for how the print out's gonna look like
you can change the settings as portrait or landscape by going to printing preferences.
hope this helps

Missing graphics

Depending on what program you are using go into your page that you are trying to print and go to print setup, look for include graphic and background. Next go into your advanced printer settings and make sure that print back ground is activated.

When printing email most of the text is missing

This usually ocurrs because your printer margins are incorrect.
At your email program or at your word program Do a preview first and set the margins
Use the option (fit the doc to a one page)
Check how many pages are demanding your document, and delete the unnecesary pages
Check your printer setting in your email program or in your word document
Check if your printer is using "landscape" instead of "portrait"
And try printing again.

I found what might be the solution to this while searching for a problem for another printer series on HP's site. Go to the Printed Page Is Different Than What Appeared on Screen page and scroll down to "Missing graphics or text, or blank pages"

Margins not recognised

Hi lerona - I have a 5600C series HP printer. You might try these tips:
Do a Print Preview to be sure the document looks right on your screen, then in Print Setup, down in the Zoom box check the Scale to Paper Size to be sure it isn't set for the wrong paper size. There's an arrow to scroll to the size you're printing on.

Then click Properties, then the Paper Quality tab. There's an item that says "minimize margins". You could try printing with the box checked (if it's not now), or unchecked (if it IS now) and see the difference. Click the Effects tab and be sure the "normal size" box says 100%, and that there's no check mark in the "borderless printing" box.

I print documents all the time, as well as photos, smaller sized items, cards, etc., and have had no trouble with the margins printing differently than my Print Preview shows on my screen. I hope these tips help you. Good luck, and feel free to email me if you have any success with my suggestions.
