Question about Dryers
I have a maytag dryer that squeals. mostly closer to the end of the cycle when it is hottest. is this 2 problems?.thermostat and melting rollers. cant tell for sure, but think the noise comes from the roller by the heating coils.
It will either be a drum roller or the belt tension pulley. Most dryers sell there parts seperately but Whirlpool sells a kit that has the rollers, pulley and the belt with a decent instruction sheet on how to do it. If you go to www.sears.com and click parts direct, there will be a place to enter your model number and get ahold of the parts you need.
