Question about Logitech LX3 Mouse

1 Answer

Logitich LX3 mouse buttons getting sticky at times..like to clean

How do I get this mouse apart so I can clean it.

No aparent screws available. I presume a clip function to keep it together.

Is it the back, front, or sides that need to be released in order to get apart?

Color: Black and gray. Heavy useage for a few months. It still works for me just would like to clean the thing on a regular/ semi regular timeframe.

The screws are under the mouses feet. Just unstick them and unscrew.

I have a Logitech LX-6 cordless optical mouse. Lately it's been double clicking when I press the left button - not always, but often enough that it's irritating. I'd like to take it apart and clean the...

Quite often there is a label on the bottom and this hides a screw which holds the mouse together. If there is a label on the bottom, try rubbing your finger over it to see if you can feel a hole underneath. Also on the bottom are plastic glide pads which help the mouse to move freely. If there is a large one towards the back then it may also hide a screw. Use a thin blade to lift off the glide pad and hopefully the sticky layer will remain sticky to make it easier to put back.

I can't hold on with left mouse button. Please help.

I had the same problem. I took it apart and cleaned it. The screw is located at the rear of the mouse in the center. It is underneath the bar code. It is a triangle screw but I was able to get it apart using a standard jewelers screwdriver. I cleaned the top and dusted out the inside. Now it works fine.

The scroll button on my mouse is stuck, will not turn.

If the scroll button is sticky, take a q-tip and clean the wheel off on the outside and as much in the inside as possible. Dampen the q-tip with water.

If that doesnt' work, look for screws that hold the mouse together, unscrew the screws and take the mouse apart. At that point clean the scroll button and then put everything back together.

If the mouse still doesn't work properly then at that point, you'll need to get a new mouse.

Logitech LX3 optical mouse has stopped working;

Hello,

If you have tried the mouse on other computers and there is no light on the mouse it is not getting any power. Possible problems are:

1) The USB connector is bad or the cable to the mouse has a bad wire.
2) A wire inside the mouse has become disconnected.
3) The mouse itself is just bad.

Sorry it couldn't be better news. Thanks for using Fixya just the same.

The screws are located under the mouse feet. However, doing this will void the warranty on your mouse.

Sticky mouse button

my friend you can open your mouse, first you need to find the screw in your mouse. Then after you find the screw used a screw driver to open it and in order to open you have to remove all screw. then When you open your mouse kindly clean it remove the mouse board and blower it to dry also make the entire mouse dry before you back the mouse from it proper formation.

Thanks

Logitech 4 button trackball,

I love this trackball mouse, yet they are very sensitive to wear and trash that causes them to fail. Wal-Mart sells great ones like the Logitech LX3 optical mouse that are not as sensitive and have more features
