I just tried to get audio by following your instructions...still no audio. I assume you mean using the remote control as the input source selector. What do I do next? Don

I said that in order to work ...you have to select from the remote control of the TV ...the AV/TV button ...select AV on the screen ..and it has to work ...after that you will change the selections from tuning from teh receiver ...
when you have normal plugs ..like a cable ..or a old time antena ...use the tv selector..to get stations tunning ...but in this case...cause you use a dvd like plugs...you have to use AV frequency ...try it ...and let me know if you get t right

On the back of your HK AVR 335 receiver is a long section of inputs and outputs. On the far left, if you are looking from the back, are the MULTI OUT jacks. Then you see "L", "AUDIO", and "R". Any one of the red and white pairs marked "IN" (TAPE, VID 3, VID 2, VID 1, etc) can be used for your XM Satellite RCA cord. Just ensure that you match L & L, and R & R. When you want to listen to your satellite, just select the correct source using your Input Source Selector.

Does the Harmon kardan avr25 have an hdmi output

Nope. You get one component OUTPUT (monitor) and two component INPUTS (Vid 2/DVD) but no HDMI video output.

If you can input and switch HDMI video directly at your display from your cable/SAT etc. you should be fine, just run all the audio through the AVR-25 through the coaxial/optical digital inputs, L/R analog RCA or the 5.1 direct inputs.

Harman kardan 7000

Check all speaker connections for shorts, and make sure all cables are secure, no change! There may be a problem in the audio output stage, at this point you will need somebody to check out the unit because the problem can be hard to locate.

No sound regardless of input. front panel lights up and functions as per inputs however also noticed pwr supply fan and internal heat sink fan do NOT turn on. Any debugging tips appreciated! Thank You...

The power supply has to be on to some extent or it wouldn't light up.

Does it tune FM? That would indicate some life.

No sound? Is it Muted or a tape Monitor selected inadvertently?

Page 53: Reset the processor...

Processor Reset

In the rare case where the unit's operation or the displays seem abnormal, the cause may involve the erratic

operation of the system's memory or microprocessor.

To correct this problem, first unplug the unit from the AC wall outlet and wait at least three minutes. After the

pause, reconnect the AC power cord and check the unit's operation. If the system still malfunctions, a system

reset may clear the problem.

To clear the AVR 335's entire system memory including tuner presets, output level settings, delay times and

speaker configuration data, press and hold the Tone Mode Button (5) buttons for three seconds. The unit

will turn on automatically.

NOTE: Resetting the processor will erase any configuration settings you have made for speakers, output

levels, surround modes and digital input assignments, as well as the tuner presets. The unit will be returned

to the factory presets, and all settings for these items must be reentered.

If the system is still operating incorrectly, there may have been an electronic discharge or severe AC line

interference that has corrupted the memory or microprocessor.

If these steps do not solve the problem, consult an authorized Harman Kardon service center.

I have a XM Model 136-4335. I need an operators manual. I need to program preset stations and don't know how. Thanks, Mike

The XM model number provided is branded DELPHI but is actually made by AUDIOVOX... a manufacturer that is commonly rebranded XM, TERK, RCA, etc. So the Audiovox manual is what you need. Now since Audiovox usually doesnt support directly its hard to get manual from them directly. The link to your manual (the third down on this page and the picture looks a bit diffferent but is the silver receiver not black box ones) Good luck

The power button in stuck in. it won't go on.I should say that it's a harman kardan receiver. thanks.

With the power plug out of the wall, remove the screws that hold the case,so you can get to the
switch. It may have just gotten cocked and stuck
in the spring mechanism. See if you can fiddle with
it lightly, to get it unstuck. Good luck.

Cripes, been working great for several years, (My Harman Kardon AVR 335) but my coffee maker shorted out and trip the circuit breaker in my house that must also be in line with living room. Of course I...

Sounds like it's in protection mode, receivers do this so avoid circuit damage. It's usually only when speaker connections are shorted, but here it appears it has a surge protection of some kind. A local hifi shop will usually be able to reset such problems.

I have an AVR 335 less than 3 years old no sound

Hello

Yes, there is something you can try, to know where to look for the problem if this happens again. If the receiver is still under warranty, just send it back, otherwise, open up the amp and trace the path back from the speaker channel to the capacitors on each channel, this is usually the problem(you should be able to see if it is blown, cheap to repair).

If all the channels went out at the same time, there is something wrong with the central unit, to repair that, if it is not the above problem, cost expensive.

Hope this can help you.

Kind regards
Andrea

I have a Siriusconnect Home Tuner and an XM Ready Receiver. Will they work together? What do I need to make the connection from the 8-pin mini DIN on the Tuner to the XM connector on my Denon AVR-587?

Not gonna work, sorry to say. You need the little two-piece "XM Ready" tuner unit (with antenna) to plug into your XM Ready receiver. Sell the Sirius Connect Home Tuner and buy the XM unit. XM unit still available at some Best Buy stores.

Just moved and can not get an xm signal

If you have the home system, you want your antenna in a south-facing window. There are helpful hints on setting-up your antenna on XM411.com - give it a try.

I'm looking some info on a diode that has cracked and the only thing about it is that its D788 in a Harmon-Kardon AVR 335

D788 is a zener diode rated 5.6V 1/2W, part #HVDMTZJ5.6BT. It shouldn't be too hard to find one of those. Good luck with the repair!
