Question about Canon PowerShot A95 Digital Camera
If I take a picture anyway (through the viewfinder), I get the same horizontal stripes. I have found that if I push the display button three times, I turn it off, turn it on with no settings displayed, and then turn it on with settings displayed, and the problem has disappeared for a while. It seems to be intermittant. It may work fine for a while, and then show the problem again. I love this camera, and it has been a great traveling companion. I don't want to replace it!! But I don't always have time to "putz" with it when I want a shot... so what's the solution?
This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check this link for more info.

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
