The vcr side of this dual dvd/vcr combo starts playing, then stops, and turns off the power to the unit. the dvd side works fine. Also, the vcr side will play the entire tape if it is on fast forward.

Most everyone I know had problems with the tv/vcr combo including myself. I'll never buy one again. I'm sorry you are having the same problem.

I have researched that there has been numerous issues in this unit beyond warranty period just like this issue and the one I have with the DVD recorder. I am planning to write a letter to the company and need some supporters. If you like to put a response (one line with your name) in this link, I will include them as comments to the CEO of the company. I feel like we are being ripped by this company that sells products with defective and unreliable components.
This combo has a problem with the vcr unit which take up wheel will stop working and spill the tape. the unit will stop and eject the tape. You have to replace the whole vcr assembly.
