Question about Nikon D300 Body Only Digital Camera
Depending on what your resolution is set to, this is certainly possible. If you are set to take both RAW and JPG, then you will probably only get 300 or so with a 2GB card. If you use JPG Large, you would probably be up to 500 or so.
If you're set at a low resolution and you only get 500 on a 2GB card, you may have some other data on the card. Check it in a PC and see if there's anything else on it. If you're sure you have all the data from it you need, then format it in the PC and then put it back in the camera.
